Blakeney Sailing club was formed in 1939. Before then various sailing events were organised on an ad hoc basis for both amateur and professional sailors. The best known were the Amateur Cup competitions which dated back to before the First World War. Gradually the club assumed the responsibility for most of the dinghy racing in Blakeney and we now boast a full programme throughout the summer with the peak of activity in July and August.

The Blakeney and Morston regatta's, with their traditional bank starts, attract over 50 boats and crews in all shapes and sizes, ages and abilities! A truly great spectacle for both competitors and spectators alike.

Apart from sailing events the club also works hard to improve facilities for all interested in boating in the Blakeney area. If you are interested in joining the club or would like some further information, please click onto either contact us or go direct to the membership form. Simply complete the form and send it to the membership secretary with the appropriate fees.

Alternatively club members and officers can always be found in the slipway area on racing or event days and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please click Sailing programme on the sailing page for dates and times.
