SAILING AREAAbove is a schematic of the area we use for racing. The racing buoys are numbered. Most of the time we sail within the vicinity of the committee boat Lapwing(LW), where most races start and finish. The beacons(B) denote the shallow areas and must be passed on the harbour side. Access is via Blakeney cut which leads directly from the slipway. The Simm's post(S) and the Cooke's post(C) can also be used for race starts and finishes. The traditional regattas start at the Cooke's post and proceed to buoy 4 (to port), buoy 7 (to starboard), buoy 1 (to port or starboard as conditions allow) with the return leg via buoy 7 (to port), buoy 4 (to starboard) and onto the finish which will again be dictated by conditions.
